Recomended Wii Games?

Post by schmellyfart »

I want to get a new Wii game, but I dont want it to be a waste of $50. i.e. a short game that gets boring easily.

I have been thinking about getting Wii Play and Mario Party 8, But I want to get a game that isnt based off of mini-games.

Is Far Cry Any good? I have been thinking about getting it after seeing This mod. (Scroll down to Wii NES Light Gun)

Any Suggestions?

Pokémon Battle Revolution just came out today if that's your thing. Otherwise, Super Paper Mario and Mario Party 8 are good, too. :)

There is always RE4 wii edition.

Its cheap ($30 brand new) Has all ps2 version extras, runs on the Gamecubes graphics (not ps2) Get a good 30 hours of play at least if you play through Normal and profesional modes, then has the extra Ada missions, Mercinaries.

Im frikkin addicted to it right now, and Im only about finished with Normal mode.

Pokemon BR foor Wii I heard is not even worth looking at unless you have diamond or pearl.

Scarface is really good IMO, but just a port of the Ps2 game.

Mario party 8
has got pretty bad reviews, and is REAL boring playing by yourself.

Super Paper Mario? well IMO I think its boring since they got tid of turn based battles.

Farcry for Wii I heard is horrible, graphics suck so bad, it looke like a high end n64 game, or a low end Dreamcast game.

Personally, im looking forward to a couple games that are coming out in the next month or 2, like.....

Mario Striker charged (first ever REAL online game for Wii(PBR doesnt count in my book)

I would just wait for the slow months to pass and get Super Mario Galaxy, Super Smash Bros Brawl, and Metroid Prime Corruption. So far those Wii games look like they give all the other systems a run for their money.

Thanks Guys.
I think I'm gonna go with RE4 and Super Paper Mario.

@Twisted Warthog: That what I have been doing ever since I got my Wii. Last game I bought was Wario Ware when I bought my Wii in February. :(

Super Paper Mario is good and all just i really really liked the RPG feel it gave off before. When it actually was a RPG game. I hope they make another RPG Mario for the Wii whether it be Paper or not.

heres my top 10 list (NO SPECIFIC ORDER)

1. Resident Evil 4 (must buy)
2. Zelda:twilight Princess (will keep you busy for a looong time)
3. SSX blurr ( HIGHLY underated, great game with crisp new controls)
4. Super Paper Mario ( fun, and long)
5. Red Steel ( DO NOT TRUST REVIEWS, after the first 2 or 3 levels, the game REALLY picks up, the graphics get better, and its great fun, multiplayer is A BLAST)
6. DragonBall Z BT2 (even if your not a fan, its a fun fighter, prob wait for dbz:bt3 tho)
7. Godfather Wii (heard great things about this game)
8. smash bros brawl
9. mario galaxy
10. metroid prime 3

the last three are obvious. DO NOT GET FAR CRY, one of the worst games on wii to date.

Ehhh id be a little sketchy about SSX Blur and Red Steel. Other than those two (and maybe The Godfather i don't know haven't played it on the Wii yet) that list looks pretty decent.

I almost forgot that this was my topic  I balme it on not receiving any notification emails. But seriously, I haven't been getting any notification emails lately...Anyone else having this problem? :? last time I received any (~20 at once) was around 3 weeks ago and even some of those were for topics that had no activity for a week.

So what type of game is Super Paper Mario if its not an RPG? Or is it technically an RPG, but not a true RPG? i.e. final fantasy and the likes

Im not much of a zelda fan *dodges rocks* :P Ive played the first one for the NES, but it didnt really grab my attention. Am I missing out by not playing any of the newer zelda games?

@androba: What type of game is Burichi Shuriken?

Thanks a lot for the replies everyone! :D

Never heard of burichi shuriken at all myself, must be a game only out in europe ATM.

Red steel was underated, but for some reason it got more boring as I progressed through the game, it had a genaric storyline so I pretty much knew what was going to happen.

Super paper mario is not a true RPG, but has plenty of RPG elements, I guess Im the only oone who didnt like how the game progressed compared to the previous paper marios.
