My obsession was that they were $12 on clearance so I bought one for EVERYBODY I knew. I kept two for myself. Then I got married to somebody with one of the ones I gave out so I have 3.
When they weren't on clearance they were fantastically unpopular. The TV ads were incredible though. In truth, it was a great little system with some surprisingly good games and a fair number of useful features.
my collection isnt large but is mostly made up of my original childhood systems:
nes (original version) 30ish games
sega master system (2nd version) 2 games
snes (original version) 60ish games
genesis (2nd version) 8 games
fc-twin (in very many many parts right now)
n64 20ish games
playstation 1 (original version with expansion slot in back) 10ish games
xbox 20ish games
gameboy classic (the original big boy) (games, see gameboy color)
gameboy color (aqua colored) 30ish games
game gear (original version) 10ish games
turbo express 5 games
gp2x
computers:
amd 64 3200+ with 2 gb ddr ram 160gb (2 hdds in raid 0 array) win xp 64x geforce 6500 with 256 mb ddr3 ram (i think its ddr3 or something)
p4 dual core 3ghz 1gb ddr2 ram 160 gb hdd radeon 900e (i think) 256 mb ddr ram win xp media
amd 3000+ with 1.5gb ram geforce 5500 128 ddr ram 340 gb in several hdds (this is my file server)
