Benheck Wiki

Post by benheck »

I know there used to be one, but I think we should make it "rwise from its gwave" and host it right here on this site, perhaps using a subdomain.

We could make Benheck.com the primo source of pinouts & console information on the web! HAHAHAHA!

Anyway, anyone interested in getting this going?

If I started and installed a new one, can we import the old data into it?

We would have to get a backup of the database from the owner of its old location. (They happen to be a banned member who probably isn't very happy with us.) But yes, it should be possible.

But please, if we do set up a new wiki, could we call it something like WikiPortable? I think it's a more relevant name. But it's your choice.

yay. Ben is down with the wiki, now hopefully all his minions will help out a little more :P.

Anyways, I did try to search for sam, but to no avail. you can do a whois on his site (which is down) to find his name, but he has no other contact information. I did my best to root him out but failed :(

Im kind of disappointed cause there was actually lots of good stuff on there...

Does anyone else have any info on his whereabouts? or how to get his personal info from somewhere? we have a name to go on, and a country, but it seems like 100000 other english people have that name.

Anyhow. you should talk to Sky about running the wiki off of this site, he said he was working on something and hes a mod anyways...

I personally would like to see this running off of mediawiki (free wikipedia engine) like the last one, its very clean looking and simple (and familiar) to use.

Yeah, the Wiki was a great database for info, and I found it a lot easier to use than PoD. It's a shame Sam Fisher's such an ass! :x It really would be nice to get it back up and running again.

World DOMINATION!!!
(pronounced woooooooor-uld dom-ee-nash-ee-ion)

There's a lot more people interested in his stuff than it would appear on first glance. Especially with all those damn laptops he's been releasing. however, I accept hat a laptop is a nice design for larger systems. Creativity is nice too, though!

Yeah I'm down with the wiki idea. I couldn't do a whole lot but whatever I can do I guess.

EDIT: Haha thanks for posting iam7805! I'm now officially 1337!

@Cows - One more post!! :D

I like the wiki idea. I'll contribute a lot to it if we set it up. But I agree with other guys here; WikiPortable is a better name, and a lot less fanboyish then BenWiki (unless you want to have a wiki all about your personal life ^_^)
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
