i think the 3 led mod is sufficient to light up the psone screen and you can also put some aluminum foil in the light box which helps reflect a lot of light and you can also jump the capacitor on the back of the screen board to bump up the contrast

How much does adding aluminum foil help and is there some before/after pics somewhere?
I just tried that fairly recently and I did not notice any sort of improvement. I say it's not worth the trouble. I need to get some brighter LEDs... Anybody have a favorite place to buy them, or a favorite eBay supplier?

well im not sure how much of a difference it actually makes but i like to do it because its not all that hard at all
