3 LED mod VS. 6 LED Mod?

Could someone give me the pros and cons on each mod for the PSone screen. To be honest the 6 LED mod makes more sense to me.

It takes up more energy. The PS1 screen with 6 LEDs uses 600 mA of current. With no LEDs to 3 LEDs I think its around 300-450.

Although it looks much better.

I doubt the 3 extra LEDs use 150 mA. I have a 7 in screen modded with 6 LEDs and it only uses about 350 mA (no sound though).

Hmmm. Different resistor perhaps? Mines a 10 ohm 1/8 watt surfacemount.

I think I used a 22 ohm 1/4 watt, the screen alone barely uses any power, though.

i think the 3 led mod is sufficient to light up the psone screen and you can also put some aluminum foil in the light box which helps reflect a lot of light and you can also jump the capacitor on the back of the screen board to bump up the contrast

Without any backlighting the screen uses either 210 oe 310 mA. I think it's 310.

How much does adding aluminum foil help and is there some before/after pics somewhere?

I just tried that fairly recently and I did not notice any sort of improvement. I say it's not worth the trouble. I need to get some brighter LEDs... Anybody have a favorite place to buy them, or a favorite eBay supplier?

well im not sure how much of a difference it actually makes but i like to do it because its not all that hard at all

What does BIN and CIB mean. I know NIB is New in Box, but I can't figure out the others.

Also, Tim told me that white paper, like what is already inside the backlight, reflects more light than aluminum foil.
