Does anyone play WoW?

Post by Harshboy »

Who here wastes their life and plays WoW? Just wanted to know, and I want to see some of your characters if you play. Post some screenshots - or post a link to your Character on The Armory.

Screenshot: Flameguru Armory: Flameguru

Can anyone that is a higher level tell me if I'm good for my level? (And I know, I'm loaded. For noobs, you can tell by the Bags I have and the Enchant on my sword - Not natural for a lvl 26 to have those  )

Heres All my Characters:

Gnomeregan:

Flameguru: Lvl 26 Blood Elf Paladin (Main Horde)
Harshboy: Lvl 19 Tauren Warrior (Alt Horde)
Scalf: Lvl 13 Gnome Mage (Main Allience)

I played for about a year, quit for 5 months, then came back for the expansion. I just recently stopped playing again.

First Account (Pre-Expansion):
Level 60 Tauren Warrior
Level 60 Orc Hunter
Level 53 Tauren Druid
Level 53 Human Palidan

Second Account (Post-Expansion):
Level 70 Orc Warrior
Level 61 Blood Elf Palidan

All the horde characters were on Bloodscalp and the human palidan was on Archimonde.

Some of my friends are that way. They have LAN parties sometimes, which I think are pointless, because they play maybe one game of Starcraft and then go to WoW.

Harshboy, I personally think that a hybrid is a bad idea. Your talents are really scattered. Although equipment isn't very important early on (you should save all of your money to buy plate at 40, as well as ore/bars), you have a good trend with the stamina boosting. Since your equipment is giving you a lot of health, you should tailor your character around that, i.e., focus on defense more than offense. You switched to one-hands and shields, so it seems like that's what you have in mind. If that's the case, then avoid putting your talents into offense boosters like divine strength, since DPS isn't going to be your specialty and those points can be used elsewhere to better your defenses.

Think about how you want to fight, both solo and in groups, and then acquire equipment and talents to emphasize that. If you stay a hybrid, then you may become good at everything, but you also won't be great at anything.

And unless you're pulling people from burning buildings, catching criminals, and curing cancer on a continual basis, every activity you do in a given day is just as fruitless. Everyone has activities that they do that wastes time. It's naive to think that your activites are any better than someone else's.

I used to play it but got bored because of how just flippin boring it was being a dwarf and running around and crap like that. I'll probably pick up the Burning Crusade but for now it sits at my computer desk along with a bunch of my other games I've yet to finish.

I wish I had the time (and computer) to commit to something like WoW, but I don't think I ever will. Sounds pretty fun, though.

I don't want to make an "I'm leaving" thread, but I've sort of lost interest in this board. So if you notice that I'm gone, that's why.

Kenny, Sabre Wulf stares into your soul with his unforgiving eyes! Just because people play WoW does not mean they have no life. I have yet to know a person who is a sleepless zombie slave to that game. And I'm sure i wont be a zombie either.
