Ripping a Home Made DVD Video

OK, I made a DVD through a DVD Recorder. However, I want to rip the video in the DVD out. I don't know how though. I have Nero 7, and that's all

. Sorry if this seems noobish, but I seriously am new to all this.

Heres a guide, just ignore the parts about making it PSP compatible.

If you want to just make a copy, use the copy disc option.

If you want to rip the disc to an iso file, use DVD Decrypter

If you want to rip it into VOB files for some other use, go with DVDshrink

And for any other use, I would suggest you check out doom9.net

Thanks for the responses guys. I needed the actual video of the DVD video. It's my really redundant way of getting video off of an Hi-8 camera to my computer:P.

Is it not possible to just copy the vob files directly from the dvd to your hard drive?
Seeing as its home-made, there shouldn't be any copy protection.

So, do you want an .avi file of it? If so, you can use AutoGK. You can find it along with how to use it and whatnot (along with other options) at http://www.doom9.org.

If you want to cut out the hassle, simply buy a Radeon 9000 All-in-Wonder card. Install it and the software and you should be able to save the videos to your hard drive. This will not set you back much that video card is over three years old and is likely $100 at most.

Use handbrake, i use it for videos for my iPod, and for my libretto.

I own these so it is LEGAL.
