Wiped Xbox HD

My friend had a modded xbox with a unleash-X dash installed. It worked fine up until a month ago. Somehow his brother completely wiped his xboxs' HD (this happened to another friend of mine if you remember). I want to know if there is a way to fix his xbox and possibly install a bigger HD.

if it has a modchip you are fine. you can put a dashboard like unleash-x or evox on a DVD and boot the xbox like that. then you can FTP all the crap back on.

of course, that is hard without a backup.... but I dont think it needs much more than a dashboard file in the C: root and a bit of a file structure for game saves (empty folders?)

I think you could probably download Slayer's XBOX installer, burn it to a CD-RW (or preferably a DVD-R) and boot up with it.
