I have a SLVR, but that's because I'm partial to candy bar phones. I don't have to fumble around and flip them open anytime I want to just take a call. The only downside is that you have to lock the keypad whenever you put it in your pocket.

We noticed. After all the recommendations you demanded and all the suggestions we gave you, you went with a phone that not one person mentioned (besides you).

I would check that phone out in person before you buy it. I liked that one but once I got my hands on it I learned that the keypad is tough unless you have tiny hands. But you won't listen to us anyway, history will bear me out on that. ;)

Heck, look at the iPhone. It runs a FULL version of MACosX leopard, not a cut down version, full internet browsing, emal, SMS, phone, iTunes (mp3 / 4), video, and a touch screen, what do you have against apple anyway?

I don't have 800 pieces of green paper that say the iPhone isn't that great. Thats what laptops are for.

just look at the ipods, pretty mediocre to start with and gradually improving throughout new generations making the previous gen obsolete. then you have itunes (i really dont like itunes at all and the ONLY time i use it is to sync my whole music library to my ipod, the 3rd party alternatives are even crap) which the iphone will be locked to same as ipod then you have the MASSIVE PRICETAG OF 600 DOLLARS!. and

so no, it does NOT run a full version if OSX.

You guys now what's hilarious, after three pages of a thread, some of you guys still haven't realized that he's restricted to verizon phones only due to verizon being on a different network than cingular, or T-mobile, etc. I'm also debating between the lg enV (in orange), and the samsung u740 (black). 8)
I will always put 8) at the end of my posts

That's exactly how I feel about cell phones. If you want all those extras, buy a PDA or Smartphone.

The iPhone may look like a cute toy but it's really unnecessary. If you want movies, music, etc go get a smartphone like a Treo.

At least then you'd have a keyboard. If I got a phone, I'd likely be doing some text messaging, even though I don't like it, its the only way to communicate with some of my friends. So instead of hitting the same button 3 or 4 times to get the letter I want, I'd need a full QWERTY keyboard, so I'd want a Treo with Windows Mobile (just because it multitasks better than Palm OS).

I'll tell you what - overpricement for hardware that isn't very spectacular. From a technical perspective, the MacBook is pitiful. No video card! And I own one, and Mac OS X is certainly NOT the most advanced system ever. It's the simplest, and most simple-person friendly. It makes more advanced things actually more difficult due to the interface getting in my way. You also can't change the shiny white and blue crap. Windows XP, on this MacBook here, though, runs much faster than OS X does on this laptop. It's not because of used HD space either. I've barely used the OS X partition.

Other then apple saying "WIR GRATE LOL IT'S OSX 4 REALS", how do you know that the iPhone OS X is not a brand new OS that resembles and acts like OS X? It's like a simulation of OS X, not unlike the Game and Watch games you can download. It's a recoding of OS X, but technically, it's not the real OS X.

I'll only believe it's the real OS X once I see

a) A Darwin Prompt
b) Cave Story running on it.
c) iCrap (iChat) running on it.

The 'safari' that runs on it is not the same slow, pitiful safari found on the computer. It's completely different. If it was a real OS X, that was just leopard, other than screen difference, it wouldn't look so different.
