The audio on my N64 just died today. It was working fine yesterday, but now all of the sudden it's not. The video is fine and it's definitely not the screen. I've tried using the AV out cord and it still doesn't work on a TV. The 5V line is also okay, it read something like 4.99V. Any ideas? Is it possible that a fuse blew out or something?
Sounds like it. Crank your volume really REALLY loud. If you hear it very faintly, I suggest buying an external audio amp. 2W is sufficient; mine has a 2W output and gets VERY loud. It can even be hear clearly over cafeteria chatter!
No good on either count. I turned the volume all the way up and all I could hear was the faint static of the speakers, nothing from the system itself. And as far as the batteries go, I just tried running it using the wall power supply and it still didn't work.
Assuming it is something on the N64 motherboard I can fix, what should I be looking for?
