...got a newer see-thru N64 (says 1999 on the MB) and it, like the expansion pak, only has 1 RAM chip.
So the cartridge slot is rewired and it works, the separate regulator for the PSone screen works and the battery/3.3 volt reg works. I guess I must have somehow fried the other board. Strange, I didn't do anything that would have led me to think it was fried (you know, like shorting out the main power or wiring a reg wrong and turning the thing on)
All that remains is to rewire the expansion pak. It's half done (the pak is wired) so I just gotta wire it to the new N64. I've noticed not EVERY OTHER wire is ground but pretty close (there's a group of like 6-7 in a row that must all be separate)
Wish me luck!
PS: I know some of you found my N64p VS DS pics already, I was afraid those were cursing me. But HA!
Nice now i just need motivation to start mine. Lol Ive been talking about doing it and have come to the conclusion its not gonna happen so i will work on a psp or a snesp propbably.
Ben, you are probably gonna beat me to it! i really need to pick up the pace or im gonna lose! (even tho it aint a contest) lol i have the case anyway just need to get my n64 and psone screen and battery and everything wired and put in the case (pretty much everything lol)
Now if you start me on that I won't quit. Suffice to say: Ben, we need a website with pictures and witty comments. I'm sure you know this, but I wanted to relate my feelings on this topic. Thank you.
