A while ago, probably at least one years, though pushing it to say 2 years, someone showed me the link to ben's book. I was like "OMG I WANT IT" since I was much more easy to excite back then. Didn't get it. Then, I found the site again on my new comp. Recorded the name of the book, ordered it. A while after recieving it, I joined the forums, mainly due to wanting answers to a few questions which is why I ask so many questions - Mainly so I know what's the right thing to do before I attempt and don't accidentally destroy something.

And that's how I found benheck and eventually joined the forums. Never regretted it.

Same, so sad  , But I spose I'd loose more friends if I looked at it during school.

Isn't it sad that the common definition of "hacking" is "malicious criminal computer activity", like stealing credit card numbers? :(

My college doesn't block anything by default, but they will run your account's web access through a kiddie filter if you're caught looking up drugs, porn, or other not-good stuff.

I saw it, and then after some time came back to it because I wanted to build a portable N64, and I figured this site might help me a bit. Which it did ;).

("This site" referring to the old forums)
is this it?

thats the one that got me here. Thank you EGM! :) I don't much care for the magazine any more though... Somehow it's not as cool as it once was. It was really edgy and funny to read, now it's rather "vanilla".

But yeah I saw that, freaked out, I lurked for a while, read all of bens stuff over and over, asked dumb questions, joined the forums (old), broke stuff, joined forums (new) and now... wait.. I still break stuff! Not much has changed, but I do know a lot more :-P

BTW, here's another scan from EGM, some might have some here from it so I figure its worth posting
