PC Based GC disk ripper?

Post by TheOnlyOneHeFears »

Is there a PC based GC disk ripper programme than can create isos? I've searched the Skeen and Mod that Cube, but all of the rippers involve loading the ripper DOL on the GC, and then ripping via the broadband adaptor. As I don't have a BBA, I can't use these yet, but I still want to back up my GC disks. So is there a programme that just uses the PC's DVD drive?

as far as I know there isnt.

the same procedure is necessary for xbox games. I think it might have to do with some kind of encryption they put on the discs that is handled in special hardware. or something.

anyways, my point is that the xbox hacking scene is very mature and there is still no way to rip the games in a PC (that ive seen). therefore probably ditto for gamecube...

You might be able to do it with the same dvd drive used for ripping Wii disks but I doubt it.

Making backups of gamecube discs is pretty easy, costs ~$20 to get the parts needed if you don't have them already
