Mod my wii

Post by totokan »

Hi guys, today I have but one question: How do you solder to the teeny tiny points that are on the Wii's motherboard? I'm trying to make a serial interface cable, but the points are so small, I'm afraid I'll jump them with IDE cable.

that looks cool, why not just file you rat shack special down?

I usually have to file most of my irons don to an acceptable thickness before I can use them for specific things like that...

Well, modchips are a no-no here, but soldering to the points in the Wii is pretty easy with any soldering iron and 28+ awg wire, unless you have a newer Wii where the IC pins are actually removed for those points.
