$200 Laptop

screen is 800x480 im pretty sure, processor i dont know about and it comes with a 2-16gb flash drive, go with the 2gb and buy an external drive lol

If this comes out on-time it'll be just in time for my birthday (just droppin a subliminal hint there, in case someone takes a notion).

Anyways, it looks cool, and im glad it runs linux. Too bad i just quit my job...

But the argument you have to make is that if they offer a warranty for it then i'd be ok. But if they don't you might as well spend $200 on a better laptop on ebay.

Looks like Quanta will have compassion for a $200 laptop this fall then. They're planning to release an open market version of the XO from OLPC. I'd have to say I have a choice before me now. I'll have to look at both and see which is the better laptop for the money.

I supose they didn't want to custom make key boards for this thing untill it is mass produced.

About 99% of all keyboards have that stupid key. Unless they wanted to invest more money on something as simple as a mock up they would have. If they do change it they need to make it a penguin when it's released. I'd love to have a keyboard that by default has that.

They also might just leave it that way. Reason being that most people who buy that might just to put windows on it. I don't think it's that great of an idea but hey it's what most people are familiar with, and changing that key might really mess those people up. Because you know most people if anything is different they just fall to pieces and can't operate it.

Well I don't remember seeing any ware on it to put a wifi card so I am assuming yes.
