How old are you? Let's have some details!

Post by bacteria »

Looking at lots of threads, there seems to me a lot of people posting on these sites who talk about their parents, school teachers, classmates, etc. It makes me wonder if most people here are children or youths; or whether there is a good smattering of adults here!

Personally, I am an old git, 41 years old. Great age, you have the disposable cash you didn't have as a lad to buy and experiment with gadgets!! I taught myself the original MSDOS and upwards, and then basic assembly language - I have been into computers, and have had several since 1983, when I did an introductory computing course at College. I used to love crashing the 286 mainframe (wow, it used an 8" floppy as backup!) in the computing room at College, I had a knack!

I love emulation and also have/had various consoles at home. I did the mod for the GBA recently ("BigBoy Advance" I called it), I intend to do one for the N64 in due course; reading all the posts in the forum as research first - will take a while to get through them!

Over to you - how old are you guys? What grabbed your interest in modding consoles :?:

Hope you've got a good college load or some source of money.

Me I'm 22, I'll be 23 by mid July. I liked the idea of just improving or changing how it works. Really the whole idea of a portable Pitfall! grabbed my attention the most and I became more general as it when on.

29 and working my way out of college bills. Got a wife, house, dog, and all that jazz. Don't really have an interest in modding consoles. I appreciate helping Ben test his creations, but beyond that it's not for me (although I used to make a living using a soldering iron).

I mainly just like video games and movies and stop in here every now and then to keep my mind from exploding at my job (IT of course!). :D

19 for a month or two more... this thread looks like its biased towards all the older folks who want to show off their age.
