Anyone play(ed) PSO?

Post by schmellyfart »

Does anyone play or used to play PSO? If so, did you normally play online or offline? What was your highest level character? What system: GC, DC, Xbox, PC?

I used to be addicted to the gamecube version. To the extent of learning how to do the duping trick, stacking items, and a level 97 redria(which I no longer use anymore but keep because I am a packrat.) I only played offline because I didnt have a BB adapter and I didnt want to play for the Hunter license. But luckily I broke my addiction and now have my life back :) For now anyways...

I recently downloaded the PC version and I'm going to start playing on the schtack servers now that school is out.

I don't like WoW. Out of all of Blizzards games, it's the one that required A LOT of time performing repetitive tasks. But it probably single-handedly funded Starcraft 2.

What is PSO and is it free?

Man I used to play that game non-stop! I played version 2 on the DC withought BBA but I still played it online a lot becaus eof 56k. See, this is why Dreamcast was so good. It gave us originals or some of the best games ever! Like PSO! Its now PSU! I play it on the 360 a lot espiecially online. Man Sega kicks ass!

I had it for the Dreamcast for the longest. I even went out and bought the keyboard so I could (pseudo) type faster. I had about three characters towards the end. Yes I forked out about $60 for memory cards to play the game.

I played it later on the Xbox. I bought the headset so I could take, and played the game for about 2-3 months. When I realized I was spending most of my time on the game I canceled my Xbox live account so I wouldn't spend more time on that game then my school work.

I bought a used copy of it for my 360 and well it looks good, I've only played a few hours of it in story mode. I don't know if there is a general play mode like the others, you know make your own character. If there is and I can get to it I'll likely start playing again. I really not into RPG that make me play a character that's pre-rolled, I want one that is my own personality wise.... kind of like my tauren on WoW.

I play it on my DC. Im a level 10 hunter or something, I would be higher but i only play it at my dads house because he gets into it for some reason. Sadly I only play it offline. Is the xbox version free or do you pay by month?
