Help with PSOne screen!

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Help with PSOne screen!

Post by Mikeyman64 »

I need an alternate contact for video on my PSOne screen. I have burned the tab off of the face and the back (I've had this screen for over a year!).

Anyone?

Contacts for video: The pin on the bottom front. The contact on the bottom front. The trace from the pin on the bottom front. The tab on the back. The trace from the tab on the back.

Use common sense and a sharp scraping object to expose some copper trace from your video location. Flux it some, then solder there.

It's a little hard when the trace is about 1/2mm thick.

That's electronics for you! use the tip of an exacto knife, and if you're blind, a magnifying glass and your glasses. then solder carefully with a fine tip.
