Because gamecube controllers suck for fighting games (or games in general.)
I want to wire my ps2 controller to my game cube.
Anyone know how to do this, that is if it possible.

Well i wasn't just planning to just directly wire the controller to the gamecube or anything. I guessed i would need a converter but figured I might be able to use parts from a game cube controller. Thanks though.

Building a circuit to decode the signals and re-encode them for the other system is a waste of time and effort. There's a much easier solution:
Take the IC and cord out of a Gamecube controller and solder it to the DualShock's board so the corresponding controls on the DualShock go to the right Gamecube encoder pins. You may have some trouble with the analog sticks, because the potentiometers between the two controllers may be different.

BTW you posted within seconds after I did.
Edit: can some one find or make me a schematic so i know what goes where?
