Any horror movie buffs out there?

Me? I'm a major gore whore, but I also like the occasional atmospheric horror film.

My current faves are:

* Hellraiser 1-3, and 4 to a lesser extent
* anything by Herschell Gordon Lewis (so far, I've seen Wizard of Gore and Two Thousand Maniacs)
* 2001 Maniacs (a remake of Two Thousand Maniacs, starring Robert Englund and Lin Shaye, sister of New Line head honcho Robert Shaye, with cameo by Eli Roth)
* Nightmare on Elm Street series, though my faves are numbers 3 and 4, along with Wes Craven's New Nightmare
* Evil Dead
* Student Bodies, the first ever slasher film parody, predating Scary Movie by about 20 years!
* Frankenhooker
* Silent Night Deadly Night
* Saw series
* anything Eli Roth has done
* Silent Hill, which truly does the video game justice
* House of the Dead, even if Uwe Boll is the worst filmmaker alive, cuz that movie had boobs and gore
* Resident Evil movies, but I felt that the second one focused more on action and tension
* Candyman series, another good film series from the one and only Clive Barker
* From Dusk Till Dawn
* Romero's Dead series
* Creepshow (haven't seen the second one, but I've seen the third)
* Mother's Day, a fine early slasher film from Troma Studios
* The Ring
* Ringu
* Infection (creepy J-Horror film)
* Audition
* Necronomicon, an ultra-graphic anthology based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft. FYI, it's not easily available in the US, unless you count used VHS's or DVD-R's found on various sites

I have others, but I can't remember them all.

I love horror movies, they're the best. I like the Saw series, the Friday the Thirteenth series, the Nightmare on Elm Street series, House of Wax was okay, but only because a pole went through Paris Hilton's head and she died :twisted: , I like Ghost Ship, The Grudge 1&2, and there's abunch more...can't remember them all.

Ugh, I seriously hate the Grudge series. Ju-on was a thousands times better than the not scary americanized remake. They effed it over juuuust like they did with ole Godzilla in 1998.

I like quite a lot of horror movies. My favourate has got to be Evil Dead. That film is excellent. Bruce campbell is so good in that movie. (It was me who asked the two last questions directed at ben and jones on episode 18 of there podcast).
Meh... So I don't post much?

It's not really that the Grudge series is scary, it's just the story. I think they could have acted it out better though.
