Movies filmed in your area?

Were there any movies filmed in around your town, or in any neighboring towns?

Part of the original Evil Dead from 1983 was filmed in my home town. To be more specific, the basement scenes. the area was filmed in 1982 while the cabin scenes theme selfs were filmed in 1979 (Kept on having to raise money).

Anyway, the house in which the basement scenes were filmed in a house outside of Camden (The town didn't let Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell film in side the boarders due to the violent nature of the film). I know there the house once stood. The house caught fire a few weeks back problebly due to the heat (it was abandoned), or arson (its being investigated). And In a storm the next day, the house collapsed, destroying all remnants of filming.

I was going to buy the house and fix up the basement so that it looked like it did in the movie.

Your thoughts?

I live in Philadelphia.... There's always some kinda filming going on. Not as much as New York but it still happens.

I live in Aiken SC only 1 movie was ever shot here "That Darn Cat"

I live in the middle of nowhere in Texas. We haven't had any movies shot here, but we did have a few Walker Texas Ranger TV episodes shot.

the movie silent hill was filmed around my area (hamilton) a lot.

the opening scene with the girl walking to the cliff - that part of the escarpment is near my house.

and most of the exterior shots of the town are my town.

I live in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area in Minnesota, a lot of movies have been filmed around here.

to name a few
Untamed Heart (a few scenes were filmed within a mile of where I grew up)
Mallrats
Fargo
Mighty Ducks (and 2 and 3)
Drop Dead Fred
Jingle All the Way
The Good Son
Pushing Tin
Grumpy Old Men
Joe Somebody
Drop Dead Gorgeous
Rollerball

and a ton of others

I've got several friends that have been extras in movies filmed around here.

We used to reimburse film makers up to $200,000 for filming here, but Jesse Ventura put a stop to that, and I don't think we've had as many movies filmed here since then

Well in Bowling For Columbine you know the part where it shows those teenagers in front of Taco Bell thats my town Sarnia. It shows our mayor too on that documentary. Renaissance Man, and Bless The Child are the only two movies filmed here. They only were filmed at our Blue Water Bridge too.

Also near me part of one of the X-men film was filmed at a closed down railway station not far at all from my house.

Well the new Indiana Jones movie (Or... a car chase from it) is being filmed near where I live.
