I wouldn't say so. I've seen myspace leave security holes open for months.

The program itself may not give you viruses but it's another way for people to hack your PC. (Just like AIM, MSN, ICQ, Yahoo Messenger, etc...)

Dude, seriously, don't do it, my wife installed myspace im and it took me like 3wks to get rid of all the spyware that seeped into our puter from it, it had my login shutting down like 6 times an hour and I didn't even have it on my login so take advice and just use something else to talk to the myspace geeks,

Just throwing the idea out there, but maybe you can try googling if any other alternative IM programs use Myspace's protocol. I use Gaim in place of AIM (only because I'm FORCED to use AIM because it's the only way I can contact a select few people)
