When you say you want to hook the devices to the computer, do you mean the system's A/V outputs go to the computer, or you want to figure out some way to have the computer control which input the projector is going from? Or do you not really care, you just want to be able to control everything from the computer?

Also, not to sound like a jackass, but please use a more descriptive title. "Well get this" does not say much about the post inside. If everyone posted like that, the forum would be an unorganized mess. You can change the subject by editing your first post

You can buy a tuner card to get them going through your compy, but that seems extremely unnecessary if you can do the same thing w/ an off-the-shelf 'uber-high-tech 412057MHz xTreme' AV input selector thingy.

Lol, i did not know what to call it without having a HUGE TOPIC SENTENCE which would also be super annoying. Sorry man, this is the only time i have done that and i will not do it again.

I was thinking of something similar, using the parallel port to control switching hardware based on transistors & relays.

There's a schematic for doing this on my blog, along with a java-based program that will let you control the inputs through checkboxes or over the internet.
