Dose this exist and if so can you help me find it?

I am looking for a solar panel that has like a normal outlet plug on it, because on Saturday me and my mom go to a farmers market and sell stuff we grow in out garden! It is hot... I want a solar panel like that so I can plug a box fan I have into it and keep myself cool!

(we grow mushrooms in our garage lol)

good luck finding such a thing for a reasonable price, you need some serious power to make it worth converting electricity to AC.

simplest solution is 12v solar panel + car AC inverter

how many watts is your fan though? solar panels are like $10 per watt or something ridiculous like that. remember the inverter is only like 80% efficient.

you'd be better off just getting a 12v fan.

im looking at an ebay auction now, 20w of solar panels is $200, 250w is $1200.

But yeah, solar cells are pretty expensive

another idea might be to get a UPS (uniterupted power supply). They're for PC's for when the power goes out, and it has a battery inside that flips on. THe only thing you would have to do is take out the alarm that goes off when it gets unplugged, and you'd have a portable wall outlet

Connect it to either a a single 12v Car battery or two large units of 6v lantern batteries in parallel placed in series to make 12v at something Ah.

Computer fans are 12v. Don't use 9v batteries, they work, but don't last long at all. Your best bet is to use 8 AA batteries connected together. Add a switch, connect the fan, and presto! Good cooling, your not overpowering the fan, noise will be pretty quiet, and it should last pretty long.

Just buy one of thoese 12v fans that rotate for your car they are like $10 at a service station with a cigg lighter plug and just hook it up to a solar pannel or 2 lantern batteries

it looks like youd need about 10 of those solar panels to power that fan, its a beast.

the panels are only 5w, in /full sun/ (ie 11am-2pm or something). at 12v, thats about 400mA per panel at max output.

considering thats about how much two dinky computer fans use, im thinking this big metal thing draws closer to 5 or 10 amps.

just get a car battery, it costs the same as one panel.
