A Forum With No Moderator?

Post by CronoTriggerfan »

I was looking the other day in the News forums at some of the threads, and noticed that they hadn't been cleaned up in quite a while, and one recent thread was overrun with spam. After checking who was the moderator of the forum, I discovered that no one's even modding it! Not meant to nitpick or criticize the job that our moderators are doing here, just making it known to you guys and our fellow members. Are any of our mods going to take up the job?

I'll mod it. I've been here for a good while, and I think I have a pretty good reputation. Just submitting my application.

we already have a person/people lined up to be mods if we find we are in need of another one so dont worry about it overly much, this issue should be taken care of soonish

I'd be happy to mod it if anybody wants me to.
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...

Er, I think we have enough mods already, we just need to assign privileges to someone. Give it up guys. :P

Kinda figured the requests would start rolling in. I really didn't intend for this to be an "I WANNA BE A MOD!!!" thread, but more of a "WTF's up?" thread. And if Triton says they've got a plan ready, then that's enough for me!

I personally think the mini-mod system fails in its current state. I just checked who was mod for each forum, and a couple others have mods that are hardly ever on.

Yeah, I've noticed that, too. :? Some mods have even left completely, like Luc and now VB_Master. And the mods who are very active in the community are given a relatively small run of things when they really should be given more freedom.

HK-47, MM007, and VB are all pretty much gone, Luc, marshallh and G-force almost never come anymore. Where is everybody going? :(
