I understand that you are autistic and wont make fun of you or anything of that nature also I wont make fun of you spongebuell or jackfrost. I didnt even realize so many people have problems No offense I mean its not even noticeable at all.

I'm not a geek at all I visit this forum and go on the computer a lot. But I find that if you are realy a geek you have these features:
watch star trek
go on computer for more than 5 hours a day
have the star wars theme as your ring tone
know technical terms better than anyone you know
build your own computers and name them after planets or scientific terms
where a pocket protector
carry around a customized TI-83 calculator everywhere (even bathroom)
own every or almost every videogame system to come out
have subscriptions to 4 or more computer magazines
only go to the movies if there is a starwars, star trek, Nerds or pokemon/yugio movie

Based on the above check list you are officialy a geek if you have 7 or more of the characteristics.
Just kidding Also I guess you could say im a little geeky.

Hey it doesnt bother me that people have Autism. I'm amazed that people that have it can do such fast mathematical calculations. Thats the enharent problem with being generally equal in all areas you never exced in any one no matter what.

And according to xxxegle's thing I'm about 4.5 (I marked .5 on ones that are not completely true for me).

Anyways I always look for the good in people. I developed it I guess by watching other people and relegating myself to a 3rd party view. Really helpful when it comes to debate, you can see the other side and know what they're thinking or the line of thinking they have.

G-Force, great to hear I wont be the only 6 foot person there when/if we meet.

Lastly I dont hold to the term geek any ways. Really in school I was the loner, I could fit into almost any click I wanted but didnt. I really do my own thing and am by no strech of the imagination technicly inclined, I'm just starting to get into things like programing and only built a computer when I was 16.
I'll greet you openly... as long as your not Polish (just kidding Jack and anyone else).

hmmmmm......that kind of describes me, too.....I've got a bunch of friends at school and stuff, although generally out of school I'm not very social at all......I guess it's just how I view most of society today. I don't really fit in well with it, unfortunately, so in a way I stand aside and watch/study it.........I also try and see the good in people, though, however I often see too much bad in the people around me :(, which leads to me just not wanting to hang around them sometimes. most, if not all, of the people on this forum seem like good people, though, which is why I like hanging around here so much :).
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Welcome here!!!

Well as many people have said here, it doesnt matter if you're autist, this is really a nice community and almost everyone here can be considered as friends, they help you everytime you need it and you can feel free to do what you want to (following the rules of the forum obviously).

When I first registered at VCSp´s site I thought that nobody would accept me there because I'm mexican and some people on the US dont like latins and specially mexicans, but I've made great friends here; sometimes they "speak" (really write) in spanish.

So, again welcome here.

And about the geek thing, well I think everybody has something geeky, but I dont really like the term, I do not consider myself geek, but some people do; I like programming, computers, videogames, anime and stuff like that, but I have a good social life and also like other things.

I joined this community because I have a VERY BIG project that is to create original videogame consoles, I wanted to do a GBNext homemade (and still want to.... ), and also make my videogame console because I want that to be my job, make consoles and also Videogames (that's why I'm studying a carrer designed for that), but in reality I dont even play videogames a lot, I dont spend lots of time on the computer (which may change soon because now I have broadband :D ) but in order to make my projects reality I need to learn more about electronic and all that stuff, so I found the VCSp's site and I was like: Hey that's a nice start, so I joined.

Well, this is my largest post here (I think), so well this is all I have to say right now.

I'm all alone, dealing with my broken heart. Why I have feelings if they feel so bad. All seems so dark, will I ever see light?

definitely. I have developed a phobia of talking with the ladies at school, though I'm trying to force myself into it.

Im not sure that has anything to do with autism. And its not that bad, you just need to walk up to someone and start talking. Girls dont have cooties or anything.

Easier said then done. I dont talk to people I dont know unless they start the conversation. I also try to be careful around girls for two reasons; one I have a sadistic sence of humor that my friends have said is almost distrbing (ie happytreefriends); two I also lack social courasies like I'll tell or ask someone a question without and softing. Just blot and to the point, apperantly that bothers some people when you do that.

Me too :)
Most people either think my humor is really mean or just plain disturbing :)
