Speaker wiring

I am really getting tired of this screen from my friend......

The problem is he ripped off and lost the wires that go to the speakers.
I know where the leads for the speakers are and I have some thin wire soldered on, but I dont know which lead is positive and which is ground.
Could dome one PLEASE post a pic of the speakers plugged into the lcd? Thats all I really need. PLEASEEEE!!!

You could use a multimeter to check for continuety between the speaker lines and ground, the one with 0 resistance is ground

I tried that first thing and all I got was a bunch of weird numbers, it never reached 0.

Oh yeah, it migh help to say what kind of screen it is. I'm tired.... Its a Sony PSone screen.

for some reason, neither of the speaker outputs aren't connected to ground .....(at least, last time I checked each pin neither was connected to ground....)
to solve your problem G-force: just hook up a wire to each speaker output pin, then hook up one wire to the positive speaker lead, and the other to the negative speaker lead. turn on the screen and input some sound...if it works, great , but if not, then simply reverse the wires and try again . if all of this still doesn't work, then perhaps you're inputting the wrong audio (like right instead of left...) also, you may have to jump some resistors, as I had to for the psone screen in my GCp......

If you get the wires reversed to a speaker it will still make sound but will have the wrong phasing. If you have one speaker of a stereo pair that is out of phase, good stereo recordings with sounds coming from different positions between the speakers will instead seem indistinct, like the sounds come from everywhere at once. If both are out of phase, the stereo image will be OK but sounds with a sharp attack, like hand claps or cymbal hits, will move the speaker cone inward instead of outward at the start of the sound, so the sound will seem a little less crisp and powerful.

I really need a pic of the speaker wires plugged into the LCD board. Then I can finish this screen. It is really cool looking. So heres some incentive: If some one puts up a pic, I will send a pic of my new portable NES I'm working on, with the screen attached! Trust me, it's worth it, it looks friggin cool!

Well, looking at the pic it looks like the top pin on the right is positive, and on the left the bottom pin is positive. That makes sense because then you could plug either speaker in either plug and it would work
