Where to find free samples?

Post by sglider2 »

Does anyone know of any good places to find free samples for building portables? I know of ti.com and pactecenclosures.com, but I was wondering if there are any other places...maybe someone can help? thanks :)

sometimes companies will give out free samples of their products if you request them...so i was wondering if anyone knew of some companies that do that...for example- wires and cables are used a lot when modding, wouldn't it be nice if you got some for free? yeah

Sure, I outdated you by over a year though :P
A quick search will bring up plenty of results.

i think things like that are too basic to be giving out samples of. who needs to try out wire before they buy it?

if you are cheap then just rip some out of an old computer. they are goldmines.

you could always tell them that you need to "test" the wire to see if it works...you never know

You're right. Cables and wires ARE used a lot. That's why companies don't have to give them away for free.

Everyone need's wire. The customer base is already there. Not everyone will need or know about TI's latest FIFO memory chip. That is why TI is anxious to get it into people's hands.
