ok, i have an empty chocolate altoids case (they were good btw) and i want to do a simple mod to it. Make it into a speaker just plop a 9V battery into one, wire it to the speaker, put on it on a switch, and have an input for the speaker. is this plausible? and if i just take an input, wire it to the speaker, will it work? or does it need a board?

OKay, very cool idea, unfourtnatly taken (I have been wanting to do something with one since I seen HAM radios put them). I think you will need a simple step up circuit, something will blow with a 9V hooked up to a speaker and an electronic device.
