FS: (Possibly) Vacuum Forming Plastic

Post by khaag »

I have recently come upon a source in my area of the perfect vacuum forming plastic. It is a little thinner than the .080 Styrene, but much more durable and stronger than styrene. It is a white acrylic designed for light panels. Anyway, its perfect for anyone who wants to do some vacuum forming for their portable. I was just wondering, if anyone would be interested in it if I was to make a purchase. I could get it to you for around $15/sheet + shipping.

Let me know if there would be an interest for it and I'll go pick some up.

Do you know the melting and maleable points/temperature for it?

According to thewiki about it, it has a melting point of 130-140°C (265-285°F). As for the malleable point, i'm not sure. I'm guessing its before the melting point :P

Seems a bit lower than styrene, so *should* be easier to work with :P
I might be interested in some in a few weeks. Almost out of styrene from misc. projects
