I like the green Duracell NiMH rechargeables. (2650 mAh) I think they're only $20 for a pack of 8.

Wal-mart also had blue 2500mAh rechargeables at $6 for 4. Cheaper than the name brands, but I haven't seen them there for a while.

I use 2500mAh Energizer, 2000mAh Rayovac, 1800mAh Radioshack, and 1500mAh Radioshack. I usually put the Energizer in uber-high-drain stuff (GP2X, digicam), the Rayovac in a gameboy or something, and the Radioshack in whatever else.

So I suggest Energizer.

since nimh batteries are only 1.2v, certain devices will show them as "low battery" the entire time, since they determine battery level from voltage only, and are expecting 1.5v alkalines.

what really matters is how long they last. if its more than an hour then you're good. digital cameras are beasts. turn off the display when you arent using it, thats probably 50% of the power draw right there.

I use the green ones to and thought they were crap. They arent though, I figured out what my problem is.

when screwing around on the settings, I found out that it came pre-set to "alkaline" batteries. I changed it to NiMh and its fine.
