Extra Credit Biology Mod... Ideas?
My Bio grade could use a small boost (93.8% currently, but it would be nice to have a 96% or so going into finals) and our teacher has offered up an extra credit op. We can do whatever we want to do with anything remotely relating to biology, and I'd like to do a mod of some sort, or some type of hardware project; however, I have no idea what to do! Any ideas?

do a comparison of a computer to the human brain...
design a complicated robot that has a structural concept of the human skeleton...
explain how gaming helps eyesight (fast paced games that is and explain how this helps the development of the species)

I'd suggest writing at least a one page report on environmental disasters and/or effects. I remember doing a group project where we talked about Japan, Chernobyle, the effects of alpha, beta and gamma radiation, and various other things about health and the effects of radiation on the human body.
Narrow it down and get a few accredited sources and you'd have a project that can earn you an "A" and that extra credit you want.

Best try to avoid the english classes in college then. You'll be required to write at least a page every assignment.CronoTriggerfan wrote:Guys, thanks for the suggestions, but I don't want to write a research paper unless I absolutely have to. I wrote one already last semester for this class, and by now, I'm all research'd out. That's why I'd like to kick it back and mod something for the extra points. Thanks!

As far as biology goes there isn't much you can just pick up and modify. The closes I can think of, though a little time consuming, is to build one of those collections of insects in a glass case. You can get he damn things easily, list their name and maybe their scientific name. Again time consuming have to collect enough, wait for the poor bastards to die and the mount them.

That's exactly why I don't want to write anymore; I'm in a Freshman college course for Composition, and though I love writing, I'd rather not write this week and just do something bearable for extra credit.Sparkfist wrote: Best try to avoid the english classes in college then. I don't know if Luc would be willing to share that technology.DK wrote:Clone yourself
@CronoTriggerfan, if you don't want to write a paper you're kind of in trouble. Schools will require you put any information in writing, and yes I know you likely already know that. If you want, try what I do, and pick a topic you've done, but not wit that teacher, and write a page or two on it. That got me through a lot of research papers in high school.
