Simple conversion but need help

I love the 360 controller, who doesn't? (Whoever doesn't like it, don't answer that question

). What I want to do though is make a wired XBox 360 controller usable with a regular XBox. My reasoning behind this is, when I play Halo 2, and go to tournaments, I hate having to switch controllers. I do much better using a 360 controller, if anyone could help me, it'd be greatly appreciate.

The main thing is, would I have to take all the internals from a regular controller, and put them in the 360 controller? Or would switching out the "plug heads" as 360 is USB and XBox has a different connector, would that suffice?

BTW, not sure if this was the correct forum. Move it if needed.

First: Welcome to the forums!

Second: the best way (and only way ), is to put the regular Xbox controller's internals to a 360 controller's shell. Much like the PS360 controller. You'll also be losing a few buttons from the 360 controller.

You mean since the regular XBox still uses the Black and white buttons?
If that's what you mean, couldn't I just run connectors up to LB and RB buttons to still make them operational? If not, I'll just do a bit of cutting and make holes for a black and white.

You should see the How-to of the PS360 controller.

Basically, the same idea. Except you do it with the Xbox controllers.

The best thing to do I guess is to jump right up in there and actually do it.
