psone screen sets off fire alarm!!!

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

psone screen sets off fire alarm!!!

Post by Thegamer3000 »

I was trying to put some juice in my screen to get it to run and the thing started smoking. I have a couple suspicions.. 1 I was using twelve volts (but the manual said it could take that!) 2 I might have gotten the polarity wrong. Could that be what was wrong? Now when I use my multimeter it says the ground is connected to where the power goes in. Did I ruin it or is the fuse just broken?

Be very very careful. And yes, you blew a fuse. The spot where it is is n the sticky.

Various modders reported not to exceed 9v maximum or the PSone screen could get damaged.

Even 9V is much. The highest voltage should be 8.5.

I jumped the fuse and it still didn't work so I think I fried it.
