Famicom 75 in 1 questions...

Post by humanman42 »

I just bought a Famicom 75 in 1 at a thrift store. I dont have a famicom, or a converter for one (yet, its being shipped as you read this).

Has anyone used one? Why are there like...10 versions of one game. What are the differances and so on.

I also picked up a 4 in 1 with teris 2, dr.Mario, Animal Tetris, and something i dont remember right now.

Any answers will be great.

What are these worth? Anyone know? rarity? If i ever plan to sell anything, i would like to know. Thanks.

There are so many different 75-in-1 pirate famicom cartridges that I doubt anybody could tell you anything substantive about yours.

It likely has a whole bunch of first-generation NES games on it, in various versions.

Different versions of the same game generally include small hacks like level-select, beginning the game at a different level, beginning the game with maximum firepower, etc...

For example, I have a 72-in-1 multicart with about three versions of Super Mario Bros. One is the original, one is hacked so that Mario always runs and never walks, so you don't have to hold down 'B,' and one starts on a later level.

Regarding value, most of these cartridges aren't worth too much in general. They are relatively uncommon in the United States and maybe Canada, but worldwide you can find them everywhere.

I have one of these 75 in 1 Famicom carts too, I also found mine at a thrift store.

Mine has Tetris and a Couple other games on the lable, and the Cart is grey.

Minute differences. Things like starting you off at different levels, or having some levels slightly changed.

They go for between $15 and $30, depending where you look, the time of year (Christmas they cost more) and if the area has a lot of vendors. Really they are not rare, maybe if you're looking for someone in your local area to buy/sell them, but internet, ebay or in general they're very common item.

Also this fits more into the NES forum, soo.

I have a question about those carts. Can you save? Like, in games that have a battery save, do they function? I would assume not, but I figured it's worth asking.
