Most burner that is 3 years or newer either has the Dual Layer feature or a firmware update can give you that option. If it's more then 2 years old you should check to see if they have that feature for the burner.

And even if you don't have one that can burn dual layered DVDs you can pickup a new DVD burner that has that capability for as low as $40.

I got some from E-bay; 10 for about £8.50 delivered - normally you can get them for about 99p each delivered if you are canny.
