gamecube voltage support?

tomorrow iÂ´m going to travel in a car and iÂ´m going to carry my portable gc with me.

the travel is arround 4 /5 hours and my gc batery life is arround 1:25 hours

i also build a car adapter - gc

i was think about the car give 12 volts

but i watched with a polimeter the car adaptor pluged in the car. and it say 14v.

mmm

i have a very important question.

did the game cube support 14 volts??

or it will die and will go to the died consoles world??

thx for help, but plz take some time before post. because i really apreciate my gc portable and i wanÂ´t it alive

I thought that gamelver used a 14.4v battery for his gamecube portable, but i could be wrong.

however, Id be a bit worried about hooking my gamecube into a car, totally unregulated. the battery is connected to the alternator which is connected to the motor... so it seems to me like you could cause some bad things if you stepped on the gas too hard or something.

perhaps get a 7812 (12v voltage regulator), which avoids the "is 14v ok?" issue, and provides your system some protection as well.

yeah i need work a little harder on the car adapro becuse it only have two wires and the car/gc conectors hehe. i think i have a few of those 12 v regulators into a few broken adapters, maybe i can get one and solder it into the car adapter.

i also should ask with gamelver for know if he is having nice results with 12.4 volts on his gc or if the gc is R.I.P. now

anyway if i donÂ´t find any 12v converter before travel did you guys think conecÂ´t the gc to 14.4 volts will be a good idea. i need confirm if it is ok for the gc , or that it will burn and cook my poor gamecube

the gc has a pretty good power convertor built right into it. you can hook it directly to the car socket without any problems.

i finished the travel guys.

and my car adapter worked perfectly ;D thx again.

i also have another question.

this time is about original gamecube AC adapter

it have 3.25 A

and i was read somepost about the game cube only need 1.25A or something like that.but iÂ´m not sure.

i soldered direcly the tv power cables to the gc power conector.

and now the gc AC adaptor should power the tv and the game cube

here is some data about my gcP screen

i have a question. can the original gamecube AC adapter power the game cube and my screen at same time?

i tested it few seconds and it seems run ok, but i need confirm if all is ok for continue with this.
