Yeah I have it. It's pretty good. The Mongoose and Spartan laser are nice touches.

Halo sucks, it really dose. Well it is ok, it is a game thats all I can say. It is just another cookie cutter FPS with a decent storyline and thats it.

If you want a real game now, download Americas Army, its free, looks good, and there virtually no n00bs ever! If you want to play online you have to pass training before it lets you, if you want to drive the humvee you have to pass humvee training, you want to be the sniper, you have to qualify hitting 36/40 targets on the rifle training. That totally owns!

No more n00s in the drivers seat of the humvee saying, "how do you drive lol!!1!" or someone with the javelin rocket saying, "HOW DO YOU SHOOT THIS THING!?" it freakin' rocks!

It costs more to buy a computer that can run it than a 360 that runs Halo 3. Of course, most people aren't cursed with as crappy computer as I have.

Looks pretty cool though, one of my gripes about Day of Defeat is no vehicles.
Halo is an awesome game, I'm sure my friend is playing the beta right now, so I'll hear all about it tomorrow.

Actually you have it backwards, It's a really fun Fast paced non linear FPS with a cookie cutter sci fi storyline. Storyline is key people, it's what makes a game worth playing. Half Life series is hands down the best shooter series out there, halo is fun in small doses. like doing the whole campeign in one night. it's short sweet and fun while it lasts. but honestly I haven't played halo for at least half a year and I have played through Half Life 2 3 and 1/2 times in the past month alone. It's a great way to spend a weekend.

My 360 had the red rings of death; I just got it back from MS today and am downloading the Beta now.

Halo may not be perfect, but it's still a great series and one of my personal favorites. For those of you who think it has a generic or bad story, then please tell me why there are four books (with a fifth recently announced) and a graphic novel dedicated to expanding it? In my opinion it's a very detailed universe with a lot of depth, and one I enjoy more than a lot of other popular fiction and other videogame stories.

As far as gameplay goes, it seems you either love it or hate it. I love it. The sales figures and XBL data indicates that I'm not alone. Make of that what you will...

If you want to understand the storyline, read the books. I've read the first three, and I can say they are great (The Flood is by a different author, and kinda lacking, IMHO). They give more detail and you can pay attention because you aren't worried about getting fragged.
I like playing Halo with friends, either the campaign co-op or multiplayer. That is where it shines for me.
