Modchip Programmer for Xecuter 2.6CE

Post by Tromoly4130 »

So I recently modded a buddy's xbox, and I flashed the wrong BIOS to the first chip, so I got a second one and hotswapped. I did it correctly but didn't think I did, so I flashed it a few times, and now it FRAGs and I can't hotswap to flash it [doesn't recognize the chip]. I ended up using the second chip to mod his xbox.

SO, I think I need a programmer to fix this chip. I've seen them online, but I only need it once, so I'm a little warry of purchasing one. Does anyone have a programmer for the Xecuter 2.6CE that I could borrow? I will barter/trade/pay for shipping. PM me or some other form of communication if you have one that I could borrow.

I ordered a programmer, I don't need to borrow one anymore.

Real helpful response , can you clarify your response a bit though? All that happened was you flashed the wrong BIOS right? My q, did you leve FlashBIOS on any of the banks?

What happened was I accidently flashed a BIOS that was 1mb instead of 512kb, so it overwrote both banks. When I got the second modchip, I hotswapped them so I could write the correct Xecuter BIOS [rev. 5135 i believe, don't quote me on that] to it. What I'm believing happened was when it flashed the 1mb BIOS, it overwrote both banks, because I was able to put the Xecuter BIOS on it with the switch in the Bank 1 position, but I couldn't put FlashBIOS on it when the switch was on Bank 2.

Right now, I believe it has m8 BIOS on it [it said on the Xecuter forums you could do that, so i tried it]. Right now, when it tries to boot, it will stop three times, restart, and on the third time it FRAGs. It is unresponsive to hotswapping, so I can't reflash it that way.

I ordered the correct Xecuter 2.x programmer yesterday, so my request to borrow a programmer for the Xecuter chip is no longer needed.

Thanks.
