im writing a research paper for school. i really want to do it on video games, but cant think of a good topic. i wanted to do common misconceptions about VG's but the teacher said it was to broad a topic..

How in depth must it be? A good topic is the correlation between violence in media and violence in people/youth

Put simply: If violence in video games has an effect on violence in real life.

You can do violence in music too.

Or how video games expand minds and give better hand-eye coordination and the likes.

I did one showing how the claims about video games cause violence is false. It's not really that hard of one, I used mostly government statistics about school shootings, school fights and teen/young adult violence in general. I used one article that someone wrote as the backbone of mine, it was essencally the same, only difference is that I used most of his sources.

Do a google search and you should fine it. I think it was even discussed on the forums here.

A good topic is the artistic value of video games. Very controversial and interesting. Look up indie games, as they often have more artisticness (wow...um...yeah that's a word!) in them. I did a speech about this for oral comp. 2 years ago.

well, i went away from the game thing altogether. since im a motorhead at heart (right next to the gaming portion) i did how do hybrid cars help cut down on pollution in the air 8)

the paper is due monday, and its kinda an easy topic, which i kno a lot about, so its pretty good. 8)
