I know this is a silly question because a lot of you DO, but I am planning to cut some kits this Friday in order to figure out the time/cost and get the files all ready. (I've started but I have to actually BE at the machine to get it all ready)
So here's what to do: Pick which CNC system from my book you'd like a kit for and email me at benheck@charter.net. (Use the book's site www.benheck.com/book for reference) These kits will include all decals and graphics.
What I'm looking for by Friday is 1 order for each of the book's CNC projects, so 4 orders. If I get enough requests I may consider cutting 2 of each system, but I would need all 4 system kits ordered first (ie: I won't cut 4 SNES kits and nothing else)
This willl allow me to gauge the time it takes for the projects to be run by someone OTHER than me (Granted I cut all these things last summer but that was kind of "experimental" and not indicative of doing it en masse. And I goofed off a lot)
Then this weekend I shall compute the cost and let the buyers know so they can Paypal/I can ship... My goal/guess is $75 per kit but don't hold me to that... However I PROMISE it won't be over $100 or a dreaded "$99.95". This price may or may not include shipping, which (if additional and not included) would be around $5 to the continental US.
Once I have all this figured and actually send out a couple kits I can build the "Kit Sales" section of the book's site and have it ready for the release. Then I can judge which kits are the most popular and have those "more ready" (I can guess now of course, but I want cold hard facts!)
So if you help me here I can help you!
Hey, does anyone wanna buy a PROTOTYPE book kit?

Ben you think the Hip Gear Screen will work with the CNC Playstation one? I know the screen is 0.4" smaller I just want to make sure it will fit or work inside otherwise I'll have to wait for an extra $70 to come by for a tv screen.

Ben answered a question I sent with my request for the kit. He said the prototypes would be $75. I wrote it in bold so that it cant be missconstuded with the production kits.

One would think by now you would get it. I'm wonderful, and you should WANT to GIVE me a SNES Handbuilt portable. Sheesh. I had to put it writing...
All jokes aside. I do wish I could buy one, but as of right now, my first concern is, can I still live in my house? The answer is, barely. Things cost too much now. Water, electricity... GAS! Not to mention food and water. The only reason I have a computer is out of the kindness of a friend. It's an ugly world out there, and I'm thankful for every single thing I have...think about it...I do every day...I like the dots...they're mezmerizing... ... ... ... ... ... ... ...
