can I recharge alkaline rechargeble batts in a NIMH charger?

Recharging standard alkaline batteries would require a low power trickle charger, so building one yourself would be better & safer. Here's one: http://www.afrotechmods.com/reallycheap ... /batts.htm

i used to have a bunch. rayovac renewables were alkaline. my chargers would end up blowing them up after a while though..

there are alkaline rechargables, pure energy is another one. i think i heard once that they suck.

i checked their site and they claim to be comparable to Ni-Mh (2100mAh, 1000 cycles) but i have a feeling their test conditions were like "AM crystal radio set, 80% discharge cycle" or something, rather than "digital camera, 98% discharge"
