All seriousness aside, the SomethingAwful forums have 55,030 members (and over 300 guests ) with 23,895,465 active posts along with 20,458,933 archived posts.

I bet it'll be just a few more months until we catch up to them

Lets try to let it grow slowly. When we all go slashdotted the forums has 26 people one, that was at most 6 registered members. This forums an improvement over the old but Ben still ahs bandwidth limitations. Maybe its time he implelmeted some of those planes he talked about, like having adds or banners put up to keep money flowing so the MB and site stay up.
