odd that you didn't list any reason why tg16 was better. I have both, and while tg16 has a fair number of 'borderline' titles, it only has 3 games that I really want to play (devil's crush, final lap twin, rondo of blood (which I can't play anyway) ), while the overall game quality on a ngp/ngpc is far better. the control experience is also a lot nicer.Edutainment wrote:Why would you get a NGPC when you can get a TG16? If you were talking an actual Neo Geo AES, I'd say get the Neo Geo.
TG16 is win.
EDIT: Not that there's anything wrong with Neo Geo Pocket Color, I totally want one!
if you like fighting games, for example, ngp(c) is probably still the best handheld for that, even with gba's and nomad's titles. A lot of that is thanks to the ngp/c 'thumbstick' which is the best controller I've ever seen on a handheld. it's quick, sturdy, easy on the thumbs and like larger neo geo systems it provides that 'click' that lets you stop worrying if the move's about to go off or not.
don't get me wrong, I'm a diehard GBM fan, but ngpc really has it beat in the fighting department, even considering the primative graphics.
actually if I could find a 'slimline' ngpc, an afterburner internal light kit and one of those ngp flashcarts, I might consider carrying an ngpc on off days.
