Anyone here will be willing to make you an N64P. But here's what you need to ask yourself:

1. How much are you willing to spend? This will obviously have a bearing on the overall quality of the portable.

2. Do you want to go with someone reputable here, that has already built one? Maybe you should do some research, and see if there's one specific person who's work stands out to you.

I will build you one. But you need to tell me how much you're looking to spend, OR, what features you want it to have (screen size, battery type/life, built-in rumble/memory... if there's anything specific you want, tell us) and I'll try to give you a quote.

Word of advice, however: Nobody here will build you one for under $100, and that's low-balling it. So don't ask for a $50 portable; it will only get you flamed. I don't know if you know this or not, so I figured I'd tell you just in case.

The "new people" (the term "n00bs" is derogatory) sometimes don't understand the time and money that actually goes into building one of these.

i would build a n64P for around 300$ 275 if n64 is supplied 240 if n64 and psone screen are supplied. i will not do cart slot relocations or anything like that because i have a horrible track record with n64 modifications lol.

I am currently almost done w/ an N64p that I might sell if I get some good bids ($300 up). I was going to keep it, but if I got a good offer.

The 64-Box

My N64p's specs -

High-Quality Rev 1 N64 Motherboard
RAM Expansion Enabled
All buttons included (L and D-Pad too!)
Controller ports for up to 4 player (Duh)
External Batteries = 5-6 hrs gameplay
5" diagonal PS1 LCD
Integrated Fan (If needed/wanted)
Memory/Rumble Port (Yes, actually accessible!)
SMALL!

Those are all the features it will DEFINETELY have. Adding more = PM me and make a deal.

And why aren't there any pictures? I'm keeping my project under wraps until I release it in it's GLORY!!!

i was stating that for his information. i do not do any modifications to the n64 boards or anything because they are fragile as heck and i have bad luck with them breaking, beyond that my portables are usually of pretty good quality and have very nice case designs. n64 portables are hard and most people kill at least one n64, hell even ben did!

okay, I know a person that wanted a portable for like $70 AUD (austrailan) and they didn't get "flamed". That is not what we try to do on the forums here (although it does happen and can be entertaining to read some stories in Forum 42). Although I am glad someone gave this information so people will stop asking for $30 portables. I am going to make a portable that should be done around late June if you can wait that long. I was designing it to keep but I am probably going to sell it and start on a new one. Also, you can post your E-mail on your profile so someone can just click the link at the bottom of your post if you would like to do that (I don't give out my email unless it is in a PM).

Basically, you send me a PM saying what you want and I could make it to your specifications if you tell me your budget. I could do one from around $250 up to a high quality $400 portable (or use Ben's pricing guide and charge you $2000)

Thanks for the correction on pricing. if you ever find anyone willing to pay that much... LET ME KNOW (I will make a portable with a 20" screen for that price ,it wouldn't really be a portable but you get the point). Also, does anyone know what I should set the time zone thing on for US eastern time. I never really got that GMT thing.

GMT -5:00

GMT stands for Greenwich Mean Time. Greenwich is in London, and essentially considered the "center of time". It is GMT 0:00. GMT -5:00 means that it's 5 hours behind the time in Greenwich.

Nah, I was gonna build one for him... we had some PMs going back and forth, but I chickened out because I was afraid I wasn't going to be able to make a good case (he originally wanted it vacuum formed). Everything else I have confidence in though.

okay, thanks for the info. I guess this summer when everyone is finishing their portables (everyone is planning on haveing them finished in the summer, I guess because of school, etc.) he can look over them and make an offer on one. I don't blame you for backing out of the offer, I wouldn't make a guarantee on anything till I was done and he seen it, them it is time to negotiate
