Quick Resistor Question
I know resistors restrict current but I also know they can be used to reduce voltage a small bit as well. I have a power supply giving me 12.4ish volts and ample amperage powering a N64+modded PS1 Screen so... using 2ish amps I'm guessing. What ohm and watt size resistor could I use to reduce the voltage .5 to 1 volt?
nope... can't think of anything I could possibly want to put in my Signature Block...
That's probably not such a great idea. You should use a voltage regulator.
The reason for this is that your N64/LCD combo does not pull a constant current in all modes of operation. The single resistor will actually cut a different amount of voltage depending on the current the N64 and LCD are drawing.

12.4v is a little too much voltage for the PSOne Screen. When running off said power supply, the screen distorts quite a bit. And how would I use a diode to lower voltage? Doesn’t a diode just restrict current in a specific direction?
nope... can't think of anything I could possibly want to put in my Signature Block...
