Does ps2 to ps3 adapter work with PC?

See topic. It's a usb adapter, does it work on the pc? Or, does it need drivers? I wanna buy it so I can use the guitar hero controller with my pcsx, since I don't own a ps2. It's the only converter gamestop sells, and I'm not buying an adapter online.

It would obviously need drivers, but there are other adapters on the internet made specifically for PS2 To USB (PC)

Yeah, but I'm looking for the drivers for one. Specifically, the pelican one. Also, if I forgot, I'm not going to pay extra for shipping when I can go to a RS or GameStop within walking distance.
