Linksys WUSB11 2.6 driver for Windows 95?

Does anybody know of one? DO NOT say Google it, because I've done that already. Please say it can't be done, because I know it can. I've gotton my USB flash drives to work with my Windows 95. I've tried the Windows 98 driver, and it seems to work, except when I try to open the configuration utility, it gives me the error: Can't load ProcNics9x.dll! The dll in in the same folder as the application. It works fine on my Windows 98.
Any ideas?

preinstalled softwere in the usb stick is probly not compatable with win 95. As simple as that!!

Windows 95 was not around when usb was becoming the hot thing. Probably won't work man.

Felino: I know it can be done. Maybe you guys are misunderstanding me. I have already gotton both of my flash drives to work with my Windows 95. What I am trying to do is get a Linksys wireless network adaptor to work with my Windows 95 now. I do have fully functioning USB 1.1 installed on my Windows 95. It can be done.

Thats not MY poitn, you may be able to get USB working with 85, but the chances of getting a USB wireless adapter working are slim. Why 95?

I highly doubt that there is a drive that is compatible with 95, why? First you need at the very least 200MHz processor. Second is that PnP on 95 is more like Plug-n-Pray. The whole PnP thing was very hit or miss until XP (SP2).

And further I don't care if someone has been able to get a 98 machine running at 133MHz to have Wifi. I can not doubt guess there was a lot of hacking and modifying of the system and programs to do so and that is not something that was discussed nor objectified as a solution to the problem.

What exactly is this laptop? Processor? Memory? HD? Does it have a CD drive? What kind of work do you plan on doing with it?

You could probably get away with some form of Linux, but if you insist on using Windows, run 98. If it's too big, use 98 Lite to swap out IE for the Windows 95 shell and do other performance tweaks.

95, even the version with USB support, was just not made for wi-fi. Heck the closest thing they had to wireless networking back then was IRDA and Sneakernet. You will be far better off with 98 or Linux.

This laptop is a Toshiba Satellite 225CDS. Processor: ~133MHz Memory: 144 MB RAM HDD: 1445 MB (1.4 GB) CD Drive: Yes
I just want to be able to use the internet on it wherever there is a wireless signal. I cannot use any OS other than win95.

well mario, my tecra 510cdt is around the same specs (p133, 16mb, 2.1gb)
and it works fine with 98 if you reduce colors from 24 to 16 bit it works fast, and i got it to play allyourbase reasonably well under opera.

so 98 is worth it more.

I assume you are using Windows 95 OSR2 with USB support.

Try:
1. Edit your registry to show up as windows 98. There are various tutorials on the net on how to do this. Google

2. Use a PCMCIA wireless card.

3. Install Windows 98, use 98lite which essentially strips all the crap out and makes it as fast as 95.

The last option is your best bet.

On the Windows 98 desktop I have I've installed the driver. Everything works great. I try to install the same driver on my Windows 95 laptop and the setup runs fine, it installs fine and everything. The problem comes when I try to run the configuration application. I double-click on the icon, and it gives me an error message: Cant load ProcNICs9x.dll! But everything works great on my Windows 98.
