Singing and such

I know a lot of you guys here are big into different kinds of music, but how many of you sing?

I absolutely cannot listen to music I know without singing along to it. A big problem I have is most of my range is up in my falsetto... So it's kind of hard to find stuff that fits my range and sounds good too. Artists like Queen and Mika are the only things that are actually up there

Anyway, my regular range or "head voice" is E2 to E4 and my falsetto is C4 to A5. And if you didn't notice, I don't have a vocal "break" like most, I have an overlap of a few notes. So my total range is E2 to A5.

So my question to you choir people out there, how can I use my voice in a normal choral setting? I've heard that most choral teachers don't consider a falsetto part of your range. What's up with that? I want to sing, I just don't have the experience or the knowledge

I've never been into singing, just piano and band (Trombone FTW!).

I blame it on me realizing that I could just move my lips to the words and the teacher wouldn't finster at me.

I learned that early on (kindergarden).

I sing, I have a pretty large range that is both high and low, i don't remember exactly what notes i can hit but I can hit a lot.

... mabey it is just because I am a tenor.

I also don't have a "break" between my head voice and chest voice, which is good.

I play tunes...do some my own singing with the various original material I've been working on...I'm not very good at technical singing, but I can make a mean Rob Halford-style screech!

I can't even carry a tune in a bucket, Im always flat and nasal, or as randy jackson would say " for me dog, it was a little pitchy" (this coming from a drummer anyway) I am pretty decent at writing lyrics (just the words tho)
