Should I buy a ps3 for MGS4:Guns of the Patriots?

I am a massive MGS fan and i have every game. I finished MGS: Portable Ops 20 minutes ago and im really into the storyline! The question is, should I buy a ps3? Another solution is that i buy the game, and then go live at my Uncle's house (who has all the next gen consoles.)

DEFINITELY the second option. either spend $60 for 1 game, or spend $660 for 1 game.

Don't tell me the PS3 is $600.

That's Â£300, and it's Â£425 over here.

Wait 'til they port it to 360, you know they will (assuming you have a 360, otherwise, that second thing you said).

sometimes you have to buy expensive new hardware to play one game, it happens. If you were as big a metal gear fan as you think you are you wouldn't even need to ask. At least PS3 will have other good games on it in time.

of course I wouldn't touch ps3 with a 10 foot pole...
maybe a cheaper alternative would be to buy an MSX2 and start metal gear from the beginning

My friend did that. He already had a Wii and a 360, and now he's got 'em all (pokemon). Anyway, I would wait for conclusive evidence that it won't be on 360 before I spend $600 or 425 pounds or whatever your currency is.
