I went whole hogged and tore apart my N64, genesis and the controllers for my N64. Bought an Atari, thats a 4x4 square in the basement, Dreamcast (now permently removeable top, screws got so stiped I throw them out) and two PSOnes (one with a screen) and one modded temperatally to run on batter power. And who can for get the two NES and NOACs I have too.

Well as my 1 year anniveracy is coming up I'll have have commited myself to making either a NESP or PSp by this months end, at any cost.

my first portable I made was an...............N64p :)!!!!!!!!!!!! it took me awhile, but that was when I didn't know much about electronics ..........now, I'd say they're pretty damn easy to build :)!!!!!!!!

oh yeah, and I think we all know which portable Ben built first ;)...........
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

I haven't really built a portable yet, but once, I wanted something to take on hoilday, and I had a 5" black and white tv lying around helplessly, and I plugged in the Genesis (which was model 2) to the TV, and ran both of them from battries, to create a sega laptop, it was quite cool actually, but after hoilday I took it apart.

I made a portable SNES with Super Famicom compatability and a slew of other add-ons.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

Which was taped...
It is a little known fact that one of my earliest portable-gaming experiments happened in the spring of 1993. I was in high school and our choir was taking a trip to Washington DC. I had the notion that it would be 'really cool' to bring a NES and a Genesis with me for the long boring bus trip. My solution was to electric-tape a Genesis on top of a NES to make the world's first multi-platform portable gaming device. The thing ran off a 9 volt battery, which would run the NES for about an hour and the Genesis for about 30 minutes. Coupled with a primitive yet color pocket television (also electric-taped in place) it was a gamer's dream come true. I could play Road Rash and Battletoads to my hearts content, 45 minutes at a time.
